Welcome to the Career and Technical Education Partnership (CTEP) at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC), a collaborative statewide project funded by the New Jersey Department of Education, Office of Career and Technical Education.

Our mission is to enhance teaching and student leadership and provide Professional Development in the following Career Clusters:

  • Architecture & Construction
  • Arts, A/V Technology & Communications
  • Government & Public Administration
  • Hospitality & Tourism
  • Law, Public Safety, Corrections & Security
  • Manufacturing
  • Transportation, Distribution & Logistics

Working with SkillsUSA New Jersey, a Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO), CTEP at RVCC aims to design model "Programs of Study" that align secondary and postsecondary academic and CTE content with industry needs, meet the Common Core State Standards, NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards (21st-Century Life and Careers Standard 9.4), and lead students toward an industry-recognized credential or postsecondary degree.

This website provides a wealth of information about career and technical education for educators, parents and students to explore. In addition, the Toolkits, still in development, provide instructors, guidance counselors and administrators everything they need to know to implement a program of study in their own districts or institutions: information on career pathways, program of study development and implementation, best practices, curriculum materials, professional development opportunities and more.

To learn more about CTEP goals and initiatives, please read about ctep.
